I would like to send a bill for 800 dollars to the nsw government to pay for my dead turf.

also do we get a tax rebate cos the government isnt doing its job to secure a solid supply of water.

when is enough enough.

soon we will have to share a wet one for showers :censored:  :gooff:

That's a bit rough isn't it?

The government can't make it rain.

why dont u guys install a water tank at home, and filter the water from that to use on your cars..

if u have a good size roof the tank should fill up after a day of decent rain.

im trying to convince my old man to do that because I HATE seeing filthy cars at home :censored:

oh and I'm talking about melbourne because it seems it does still rain here some times.

Yeah, we did that.

I could get tanks cheaps through work and my brother could give us the installation certificate since he's a plumber. So we ended up getting more back from the government rebate than what the tank and install cost to begin with.

We've been on stage 3, and now stage 4 for a couple of months now. It sucks. There's nothing better than getting out in the summers sun and giving your car a good manual wash.

I must admit though, using the manual system at the local car wash; you can get a pretty clean car. I was originally using the much-hated brush until I read peoples opinions on it. Now I just put a dollar in, blast it with soap, wash it over manually with a sponge I take along myself, put another dollar in and rinse it down.

It takes a little bit longer, so you have to go in off-peak hours. When people are queued up behind you and you bring out your sponge, the looks on their faces 'aint too good. :censored:

Better still, do the right thing and buy a rain water tank and pump. Can wash your car, and help out with the water crisis. I'm saving a ton of water with mine and am about to get a second tank just to run the washing machine and flush the toilet.

Yep it sucks - I got a high pressure cleaner for chrissy (knowing that I would only have a week of use on the car - but I still wanted one).

Its going to kill me - I might have to find one of those brushless ones.

At least we are allowed to wash the windscreen and headlights :spoton::w00t2:

Pro wash in melbourne have quite a few places with hot high pressure soap and cold water rinse

I've done my AU XR at a nearby SA pro wash joint (just hot high pressure soap and a rinse, then microfibre dry)

Costs me about three dollars most times.

Their shampoo is the softest of any I have tried but the best is value for money and undercover drying bays

I thought it would affect my highly polished and sealed paint which is about as good as galaxy blue can get but the pro wash has never done any damage like marring or scratches and doesn't affect the paint sealant coatings.

Give it a whirl. With melbourne water being softer, it will serve you well

P.S. Don't use the pre soak (especially single stage paints - leaves streaks)
