How the f*** did you do it without removing the battery?  :tease: You must have "girly hands"    :tease:

Socket extension and some muscle.

Yes I have girly hands and here's a pic, C@cksucker :tease:

You guys must be INEPT!!!

I have fat short fingered wog hands, and I did it without removing the battery.

I pulled the hose off, got some old thin speaker wire, removed the innards, and put it in the end of the wd-40 nozzel. Then I spent about 3 seconds fishing, sprayed, removed the f*cker and voila, job done.

Can you use RP7 in place of WD40?

Yes or nulon, teflon or silicon spray. Basicly any light oil spray

An alternative to removing the battery (also for those reset-o-phobes) is to remove the 2 10mm bolts holding the radiator expansion tank and move it out of the way to get to the boost solenoid that way.

I also removed the screw (philips head) holding the solenoid bracket and moved it up and back into the space where the expansion tank was and 10 minutes later all done.

Thanks again Zap for the idea.

Did this on the weekend, took about 10 minutes including removing the battery.

Did notice a slight difference in performance but nothing too exciting.
