ok, I manged to get it done. it's clamped on by one of those clamps that once they are crimped they dont come off..it was crimped right at the base of the hose, I got the hose off and tried pushing it back on with the clamp.. wasnt happening. I was playing with the right part I believe. just much tighter than I thought it would be. I took it out for a quick burn around the block a few times and it's made quite a difference, it's much less hesitant to get on boost and just pulls like a train once the boost kicks in.

Paulie: so your saying that your hose isnt crimped or clamped on? it just sits on there?

If there is a clamp its one of these bad boys and I can just slide the hose off and on without touching it. Pretty sure at there turbo end there's no clamp at all though.

this is the one here. was definitely on solenoid everything in the guide was the same, little bracket attached below the battery etc

EDIT: annoyed that I didnt need to clamp it haha I went to 2 different places looking for a hose clamp small enough to fit in there! :D but im glad I got it, the whole process was a learning experience for me so now I'll know next time it needs doing.

Oh well now that you have ripped it off you don't have to worry about it.

Just remember one thing. If all of a sudden your car feels like its got 400kw check this hose because it may have blown off.

Hasn't happened to me but if you search the forum you will find a few people it happened to.

ok cool thanks Paulie, I'll keep that in the back of my mind. I dont have a heavy foot generally I actually drive like a bit of a nana.

that clamp was on there, but there was absolutely NO way I was getting that hose back on with that clamp still on there.

ive never felt 400kw but it definitely doesnt feel that quick haha

gosh, I was getting frustrated to the hilt for nothing! no wonder it took me so damn long I thought it HAD to be clamped on only because there was one on there already. makes me feel so much better

I did mine for the first time about a week ago and it also had that clamp mate. All you need is a fine flat head screwdriver to unclip it then use a pair of pliers to reclip it on afterwards.
