Guest newl Guests Posted 02/02/10 11:53 AM Share Posted 02/02/10 11:53 AM Nope, they all come from the factory with the wiring to the boost solenoid connected. While you're tinkering with it, be sure to read the Boost Solenoid Maintenance thread. Probably won't make much of a difference to performace when unplugged as the boost would still be getting controlled by the actuator spring. It is the ex Plazmaman Demo Car. For a car that is meant to be in good condition, I am finding otherwise. I decided to take battery out an do this simple maintenance. My question is is there meant to be a hose connected to the other end of the solenoid? I.e There is a top hose, and halfway down the solenoid there is a rightangle T piece which has a hose coming of it. But the bottom connection has no hose connected to it....Is this normal??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a hose that goes to the actuator. I didn't realize, then I went for a drive and it was sick! But an o2 sensor goes off and your car goes in limp mode... Also, if you tug at the hose that leads to the turbo and it came off and you are wondering where it goes.. Unscrew the rubber connector thing'o mi-bobby-o off the inlet of the turbo and under the inlet of the turbo you will see a nipple (haha I said nipple) .. that's where it goes.Another note from the n00d in training

Easy way to blow it + throw a rod. anyway just came on here to say that instead of taking the battery and piping or whatever out you can just pull the hose off at the turbo side and spray the s**t down it. Did it today and now have another problem. My wheels keep spinning when I hit the throttle.

Food for thought. Maintenance on these vehicles is a MUST, but the care taken, and the knowledge required, is also a MUST. Cost me $3500 to $4000, maybe more, and my car has been off the road for 3 months trying to finance this. All because that little hose was NOT connected.
