Just wondering if I need to do anything different to the xr6 turbo seeing that the typhoon's come with the alarm?←Yeah, I have the factory alarm as well and you need to switch the ignition to ON, then remove the battery. When you put the battery back in, make sure the ignition is OFF.←Thanks mate, I'll do that tomorrow. Well today I decided to splash out and buy and new one from Ford for the huge cost $39.00, My BA1 has done around 100,000Km, and I must say I feel like I have a new car.Well worth the investement! The part No. from ford is BAT 9W487A as it took me 2 dealer to track it down due to their usual incompetence Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/31329-boost-solenoid-maintenance/page/13/#findComment-503283 Share on other sites

I even fitted one to a standard BA MKII without edit and it runs on 6.5psi without any problems.
