I just did mine on my 05 BA with 60k's on the clock. I had a fair bit of lag beforehand and now it is slightly better (I think), then again I was expecting it to go from a stock car to 2nd and 3rd gear power skids from everyone's results, haha!

Awesome write up. I just did this today on mine. It made a difference. As a note, I removed the 2 bolts holding on the water reservoir for the radiator and moved it aside in order to get easier access to the bolt.

Quick question chaps,

I checked mine out last night (2011 FGXR6T) the hose going from the turbo Housing to the soilenoid has a bit of oil residue coming off the Turbo housing end. if I was to unscrew the hose from the turbo housing and clean it up then spray from that side all the way to the soilenoid, will that be ok to do?

What about if I was to take the hose off completely and clean the whole inside up? Will both of these methods be ok?

I wouldnt bother cleaning it mate, just replace the hose with a new one. I bought a new solenoid from Parramatta Ford in NSW $48. Also bought some new boost hose and small clamps from super cheap - replaced in 1 hr, runs much better now!
