My last PB was 13.59 and today I WD40'd the boost solenoid then went to the drags...new PB is 11.949!

The mods in between MAY have had something to do with it too :)

Seriously though it once again made it feel very smooth on acceleration/boost. Who knows maybe it was worth 0.051 seconds!

You can leave the little circlip on no sweat :)

Mine was tough to remove first time though, might need a pre lube with WD40 and left to sit for 5 mins.

Can I add an update to this maintenance.

It is definately sufficient to remove the top hose only and use WD 40. HOWEVER. Recently Rusty and I found that if you REMOVE the solenoide completely, spray WD 40 in the top until it comes out clear and not all gooey, leave it for 5 then gently blow through it and replace, it its a much better result.

To do this you will have to remove the battery and it is best to replace both hose clips with screw on ones for later.

You DO NOT have to do this. The ordinary maintenance will suffice, but we found Rustys was very dirty and spraying WD 40 through it cleaned it right out.

ok I just went to do mine and noticed 2 things. the first is the top hose is only connected at the solenoid and the other end just pokes up in the between the IC pipes. the second thing is the bottom of the solenoid has no hose connected = wtf? So I need to know where these are supposed to go as I have no reference point to start from. I would love to get this done today any help appreciated. :dontknow:

There is a hose from the front of the turbo housing to the waste gate actuator is this correct? As far as I can tell from drawings in the manual the top hose from the solenoid goes to the front of the turbo housing and im guessing that the bottom one should go to the actuator.

sorry for the triple post people but something awesome may have just happened :turboboink: I cleaned out the soleniod thingy and reconnected the hoses as per the post above and I have got someinteresting results. Very smooth idle, very nice response less lag and the best thing is this thing is pushin 10 psi now, whereas before was only hitting 5 psi. Has hooking these hoses up correctly unleashed some of the performance the guy who owned before me may have done? Or is my actuator cactus?

For giggles I turned off the traction control and drove op the street in second and pinned it @ 3000 rpm, instant 2 lane action :roflmbo: Please dont tell me somethin is wrong lol
