I remember last year when ingall won ford and caltex were quick on the championship win and pretty much had adds out the next day. I think kelly HSV know they're not worthy! I think kelly HSV know they're not worthy!←You are absolutely correct......Aside from the car mag reports, there has been very little media since the appeal and no promo's that I have seen from Holden,HSV or major sponsors!!!! It just goes to show you that their "win at all cost attitude" has not been worth it... I don't remember a more controversial incident that has brought the sport so much bad will......It reaks!!I guess it always stinks around a***holes!!!! It's obvious that no matter which manufacturer wins bathurst, the other will win the championship. Between the other falcon guys at indy and the officials there and at phillip island, it is no wonder I've lost interest in the series. And as for Marcos Ambrose at bathurst last year, "the" champ got it right when I said it's an abolute joke. Greg Murphy, Rick Kelly they've shown to be very unsportsman like, and to be honest I believe they have hampered holdens marketing more than helped. I can't see anyone going from ford to Expensive Daewoo with those sorts of performances, hence the whole point is a waste of time (advertising).On another note, why do they let Expensive Daewoo use ford cylinder heads, suspensions and differentials, if their own isn't good enough, that's their problem! And when are we going to start seeing 4 cam v8's and independant rear suspensions? I'm sure that there are a few cars on this site that could embarass them with a quarter of the cost.Anyway, that's my 2 cents←Most of the rule changes have been implimented to benefit Holden.*They switched to the V8 only format because Expensive Daewoo didn't have any competitive hi-tech cars*The Ford aero packs were cut back several times because they handled better than the Commodores.*The Ford developed aero pack (front splitters)was given to Expensive Daewoo to use and shortly after, taken off Ford making the Falcons uncompetitive for quite a few seasons.*The solid rear axel and pushrod rules are there because Expensive Daewoo doesn't have access to a decent (race worthy) IRS system, or any V8 motors that wern't designed in the 50s.Admittadly, the parity rule benefited Ford because it rectified all of the previously lop sided spec rules, but if it went back to racing modified versions of the cars on our roads (ie as with the Nissan GTRs and Ford Sierras, they used the bodies, motors, suspension and driveline configurations that the cars were released with), then we'd all benefit. Each manufacturer would be forced to produce HO versions and constant improvements in order to stay at the top of the game. It's no easy solution though because with today's prices, the manufacturers and teams wouldn't be able to afford to race.I think they should at least rule that they can't interchange drivelines, motors or motor components.
