I may have to pull out of this one again depending on weather or not there is a T already built like I want or if I have to order one and how long that will take. Also I am getting the 6 speed auto. I have been told by someone not to take the 6 speed auto to the track as they don't like that type of treatment. Anyone heard of problems with this? Anyone taken the ZF to the track and had any problems?

I'm out, I was getting a car allowance but that didnt cover much more than the lease payments. Boss has now taken over lease on my car and all expenses insurance etc inc fuel, though all paper work stays in my name :flameman: . Downside he's written up an agreement which inc no track/racing etc. Ah well, will miss it but damn happy with that deal been so close to having to sell her a few times.

The more practice I get, the better I will be able to whip those 8's at MP.

Also, it would be good to get the strip as well for the day. I feel a little more comfortable on that in the auto rather than the circuit.

Hopefully should have the new intercooler on by then too.

Is there going to be any timing so we can see what sort of difference compaired to say a v8 supercar lap.

Whats the with go with bringing the family or friends, any extra charge?

Not that I would have a chance is there going to any fun awards, price's for quickest and most spactacular, best drift etc?

Maybe charge a extra $20-$50 to put towards something like prize's, could help to get good numbers for day.

Maybe even invite the other brand girls to challange.

But tell them to bring their clean up kits to clean any fluids they leak onto track and our Fords.

There would be a big difference in the V8 Supercar laptimes. They run full suspension, lighter weight and slick/semi slick tyres, so it wouldn't be a competition. It will also depend on the track that is running as QLD Raceway has a few different track variations.

I have normally raced the sprint track, and posted a best of 1:10 but that was on nankang tyres which aren't the best for the track. I have seen an NA XR6 post 1:08's, but I think the Xr's would struggle to get below 1:06's - though hopefully I am proven wrong!

Friends are free to bring, as they just watch from the pitwall.

You have the 6 speed auto don't you? Let us know how you go as I have been told the ZF doesn't like to be taken around the track. Apparently it seized up with one guy that took his out. This is the thing worrying me about this track day coming up.
