A graphics card is only as good as the monitor or tv you watch it on. Isnt that right?

But with most LCD's and plasma cant they also be hooked up to a computer. So isnt is just as good as a console.

the thing I found is that a high graphics game on a PC requires a good graphics card othrerwise it runs slow and jerky as opposed to the consoles wich the games are built to the console so are always smooth and run fast.

I reckon when it comes down to it stats don't mean sh*t, yes the PS3 has better stats in some areas compared with the 360........but an XR8 has more KW than a XR6T.......which one is quicker?

I reckon that it would really come down to the games, some people like xbox games and some like playstation games. Personally I actually like girls getting naked games. but that's just me.

So true. The only reasons I got a PS3 was because of the certain games it has that arnt released on other consoles or PCs and the Blu-ray. Other then that I will always use my PC.

I own both gaming PC's and a PS2/PS3. I enjoy games like Motor storm and the PS3 is good for a bit of headache free fun.

As far as graphics go the PC is and always will be (as long as developers are making quality games for the PC) far ahead in graphic features and detail.

However stunning visuals aside, PC's get games release to them that are more complex and aimed as a clearly 'smarter' audience that's consoles never get.

...and who can aim a FPS with a controler!

PS. Mickg, While I agree with you; PS3 par graphics wouldn't run on a $50 video card, maybe a $250 one.

True.

I like games like Total war, command and conquer and other role playing games. These games arnt that good on a Playstation. I have a PS3/2 so I play shoot them games and car/sports game on that.

I definatly enjoy going round a mates place and playing some 4 player fifa,nba,any sport game etc on a big tv. Also I prefer playing racing games on a control pad over the keyboard. I know you can get a control pad for a pc but if 4 mates all wanna play its alot harder to set up with a pc.

playing fifa while drinking. If you score a goal you have to have a shot or bourbon, whisky or vodka. If you win a drag race you have to have a shot.

My housemate has a PS3. We playin everynight, on the moment bustin the fight night round 3.

The smaller details are great, but cant wait for GT or a new Pro Evo to come out on the PS3, batters FIFA in every way.

So a big thumbs up for me, especially as I didnt have to fork out $1K for it, and use it as though its mine hahaha, onto a winner aint I.
