All im saying is that P plater's do cop harrasment and you cant seem to grasp that it dose happen, yes some ask for it but others dont.

You are just stereotyping P plater's.

Oh yeah I forgot it donst mater what I or any one else thinks because you must be right, and where all full of it.

Well its not an Xr6, but I also have a S15 200sx, its yellow has number plates SPOOL and am a P-plater...Belive it or not I have only been pulled over once in 12 months of ownership! but I must admit when I did get pulled over I did cop a defect, but it was for good reason, one tire was f*cked and the car was 5mm lower then the regs state your alowed to have. As for the T, got pulled over once and that was for a check up.

So if your car is genuinely a defective vehicle I belive you should cop it sweet and move on, sh*t happends.

ohhh yprv4 I saw you at the car wash on chesterfield rd car wash the other day, you musted get hasseled in that thing man... :roflmbo:

 There are solutions to that problem but as I see there are others on here that THINK they know more so I'll let their wisdom shine through....  :spoton: I see im dealing with a certain mentality here.....come on guys if you really feel hard done by STAND UP and voice your opinion through the right channels....whinging about it wont solve anything. And by the way einstein whats the chances of a male P-Plater not having some form of mod on his car...very little

In relation to any driver feeling they have been hard done by:

1. If at any time any of us feel hard done by and recieve a ticket than our avenue of contestment is through the courts were we all get to have our say and have the matter independently determined by a legal expert and a penalty set by the courts will then be issued.

2. Demand the officers name, station, phone number, likes and dislikes, marital status, phone number, Expensive Daewoo or ford fan, bla bla, well arnt these going to be on the ticket and defect anyway.

3. Oh yeah heres the best one, lodge a formal complaint with the Police Integrity commision, where there charter is to investigate serious criminal involvement by police. Well your no p plates ticket, and defect for bald tyres just aint gonna make to there desk. Furthermore, it is a criminal offence to make false (vexatious) complaints about police. So your minor ticket for what ever can really snowball into something much bigger if you listen to some of the rubbish being written on here of late.

If you cop one and your doing the wrong thing, then pay it and get on with your life. Too many ppl wanna blame the world for there sh!t driving and then getting busted for it. Isnt there another topic round here about some bloke that got pinned for a burnout and how he copped it cause he knew he had done the wrong thing.

Hey mate yes you can get insurance but you will pay for it, and the fine for driving a high powered vehicle is $110 no dermirt points and they dont keep a recored of how many times you have been done I racked 12 fines on my P's.

Double check that this is still the same with the new ''hoon'' law.

Buddy sorry to break it to ya but this is how it works... the insurance company will happily take your money and tell ya your insured. But then when something happens and u lodge a claim they'll tell u to get stuffed for drivin illegally and your insurance will therefore be void. your not gettin a single cent. Its the same type of scenario as if, for example, u had unroadworthy tyres on your car and had an accident... no insurance cover.

Try it and see... it hapenned to a mate of mine!

Na mate I had a mate who stacked his vt clubby on his P's and he was fully covered. So they will insure you if you tell them every thing some place just flat out wont insure you for that reason and others will.

I'd suggest (and I can't believe this hasn't been said already in 4 pages of thread) that the reason you're getting attention from the cops is because you're not supposed to be driving the car on your Ps

XR6Ts are on the probationary driver banned vehicles list (go to the vicroads website to download the files if you like) for being high powered cars: any cop worth his salt should be pinging you for driving one. Heck, any V8 is out of the question too.

So whinge all you like.
