Im suprised to find there's no factory catch can ( or is there? ) so I grabbed a cheapy $95 one while at the auto shop today.

Fitted up ok, looks cheap and nasty so I'll paint it black soon, but the car needs one so it should do the job well.

The kit didnt come with the correct fittings so I coudnt run the hose back to the intake ( pre turbo ) but I had a little filter that I stuck on it until I go to Pirtek tomorow.

Anyone done this too?

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

Stops oil from getting to your intake. Its put inbetween the crankcase vent valve and the intake piping. The oily air that comes out of the valve passes into the catch can and the oil is trapped there.

I have a drift spec oil catch can in the garage, still havent figured out the best place to put it yet

Piss off lumpy, your oil catch can is the one your park over every night to catch all the oil leaks :tease:

Finally got round to finishing this off today. Got some larger diameter hose ( couldnt get black ) and plumbed it into the intake pipe between turbo and air filter.

Ive done this as I can smell oil after a big run on boost without the can plumbed in.

All good now, no smelly oil in the cabin.

These things are a good idea and can't fig out why FPV don't fit them to their BOSS donks.

All that carring on about burning to much oil in the Bosses and all they need in one of these.

Mate of mine crys about how much oil his GT eats and yet will not spend $50 to $100 to fix it.

Good track mod for weekend punters too. Well done on the photos and on this mod.
