It should not go over.Now depress the clutch and depending where you are and if you have the window down you should hear a little click and you should be able to shift into the gate. this should tell you if the lockout is nackerdIf still no good you may need to change the oil. Hard to get into reverse once in the reverse neutral gate= possibly clutch or associated drag. Where does the clutch engage as you release it off the floor?
