(I am from perth remember). Most of the time I will sit in the right lane because I do slowly creep past everyone in the left, using cruise control as opposed to old unsteady 90/100/90/100km/h next to me, and usualy just stay in the right to avoid changing lanes every 30 seconds. however if I do notice someone coming up behind me slightly faster than myself I will move over and let them pass in the right lane.what irritates me is drivers though think its the right lane and its their right to drive 120kmh+ in the right lane and abuse anyone who gets in their way. its these people I have short temper for.←That's not the issue, although I agree with you. The other day on the M2 I was in the right lane, overtaking a string of slower cars in the left lane, there were 2 cars in front of me going from 80-90-95 etc. The a dope in an Maloo came up behind me and sat so close I could pass him a mintie from the back seat. He kept signalling to me to move out of his way, but as I said, I was overtaking and had cars in front of me. Any way, when the traffic cleared I showed him how a 245kw 6 can shame a 298kW

Anyone doing 120+ on either of those will eventually get caught. You know what the WA revenue department is like. I myself prefer a comfortable 110 on either of the two in the right lane presuming slower traffic and keeping left if able to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me whereas like you say, if you're passing someone every 30 seconds it usually only pays to get over if someone wants to scoot by faster than you or the left lane(s) become spaced out enough to get over and be safe. What I have an issue with is the jerks who sit in the right hand lane continuously regardless of traffic. It's not hard to move over to the left, especially when traffic is light or non existant. Luckily in canberra traffic is usually light, hence why I get even more worked up over idiots who remain in the right lane sitting next to a car in the left.. if they wanna do the same speed, tap the brakes, fall in behind the car on the left and let everyone get on their way. I never had this problem when im in a work Car hhehe... very rarely that the public dont give way to flashing lights sirens and a big merc van with "AMBULANCE" plastered over it Even cars stopped at the traffic lights are normally fairly helpful when we need to get from a to b as quick and as safely as possible but when im in the ute - I feel all your pain lol. This only applies to unmarked roadways, ie, no dividing lines. Basically means you shouldn't be driving on the wrong side of the road around suburban streets.Keeping Left offences are targeting multi-lane roads.←Is it just me but your first post since joining in 2003.
