As I said, I also admitted to speeding. I was travelling at a speed where I thought that I could merge - the fact that it was over the limit was key to the copper's decision. Guilty as charged, and in no way do I abdigate this responsibility, hence I wouldn't consider fighting the neg driving charge. As I said, it was the least of my worries.

I appreciate the kind words, everyone. I know how much you all love your cars.

Bloody hell! Clayton!! I know how much you enjoyed that drive day at Eastern Creek, but don't you think this is a drastic way to get another one? The toxic beast is stuffed! Glad you're OK mate. You didn't tell me when you were texting yesterday......sh#t, so glad you're OK buddy. Scares the living crappers out of me when people pull up in those merging lanes.

Geez that's a damn shame. I'm sure you'll love the new beast though, just have to endure the wait. Neo will look trick too. I bet mum and the kids are pleased dad is still in one piece.

I still think it's a dog act that they gave you a ticket for neg driving considering they either saw what happened or were there straight after. And your lucky insurance covered it with the neg driving ticket.

Regardless if he received a ticket or not insurance will cover it. The only way they wont cover it would be if he was under the influence of alchol or drugs.

Negligent : something a reasonable or prudent person wouldnt do or omitting to something a reasonable or prudent person would do.

I know that doesnt mean much but the person entering into a higway must give way to other vehicles using the highway. I know it sucks.

If youvé been booked with neg driving it give's the insurance company an out, I'vé just finished an 8 week offender's driving course :birthdaywish: and they had someone from the NRMA come out and give us a lecture. They clearly stated that once booked for neg/wreckless driving they can refuse a claim, don't belive me ring them.

You do not stand corrected at all..... change insurers. NRMA are a bunch of mod hating tight arses. I damaged the Phoon .....18 k worth in fact ,running over 300atw

3 points and $300 from memory, neg driving no dramas. Car ended up better than new.

Just be careful though..... there be scare mongers lurking :idunno:

Ok how's this, car get's damaged at work and reapir bill came in at $3o,ooo. Put a claim in through works public liability insurance and they knocked it back, they said it wasn't anyone's fault and it was just an unfortunate accident. SO becaused no one caused it by stupidity or negelance (spelling) they won't cover it :roflmbo: .

But they said go put it through your own insurance, we'll even pay your excess.
