Hi all

Sold my T today and nearly cried as it reversed out of my driveway for the last time and without me driving. I'll miss it dearly as it made me smile every time I drove it. :bum::crybaby:

I briefly considered the dark side and test drove a VE SS which was impressive and I couldn't really fault, but it just didn't have the mid range urge of my (edit only) T, so I figure only a BF will make me smile as much.

I'll probably get a BF Auto as I've only heard good things about them. I have a couple questions for other owners who have upgraded from BA to BF:

1. Is the build quality much better with regard to the usual diff whine, brake shudder etc... etc.. issues?

2. Is it a much improved ownership experience overall?

Any comments from members who have gone from BA to BF would be appreciated.

Thanks :spoton:

Mark.

Had BA xr6ts in at work, own a BF1 T had a BF2 T in to now.

Differences are, Icc centre is a nice colour the same as the GTP, arhhh in BF2 the instrument cluster has a different design, and new seat and door car trim.

Brakes are bigger, and you get a phoon motor in the BF1 april 06 onwards. 6 speed auto is a nice slush box, but lack of ability to comptely control it with edit and lack of aftermarket knowledge on it is a worry. Not to mention the costly replacement price

Same engine and gearbox as the F6... Makes sense for Ford to do this as reduces the cost per unit. So those extra F6 features on the FPV site for the engine well there not really extras just the standard Turbo engine.

that's what I'm hoping for. I'm hearing that 06 BF T Autos with 15000ks are beginning to pop up at auction for low 30s, so that sounds like its worth waiting for. Then again I can get a demo 06 Phoon delivered for low 50s. Hmmmm?

I could stretch to a Phoon, but all I want is a trouble free 12 second street car that doubles as a family car. Simon's regularly getting 12.6 and 12.7 second BFs with a tune only. That'll do me..... Whilst I love Phoons, I can't see $15k in extra value.
