ETM Member 1,194 Member For: 17y 10m 26d Gender: Male Location: syd south Posted 06/06/08 12:25 AM Share Posted 06/06/08 12:25 AM I run full slicks and front runners at wsid all the time.if you go faster than 12.0 they will want to see a tail shaft loop and 4 point harness anyway so choosing radials over slicks for that reason doesent make sense.I use 15" weld racing wheels with an 8mm spacer plateat the back and they fit no problems over the caliper.you will need front runners aswell as using radial fronts and rags at the back is a recipe for disaster, you will hit the wall. ETM Member 1,194 Member For: 17y 10m 26d Gender: Male Location: syd south Posted 07/09/08 11:45 AM Share Posted 07/09/08 11:45 AM Drag slicks are what is called a bias ply tyre which has no steel radial belts as your normal road tyre does, the 2 different designs behave very diferently to each other and for that reason cannot be used together.The real world situation is that the rear slicks will walk all over the track and the radial front are too twitchy and you will have great trouble steering the thing.
