Hi all,

I've just started getting really bad clunking noises in the rear end when I take off from a dead stop and I was told my diff's on the way out. It already had a new one put in about 25,000 - 30,000 km's ago under warranty so should it be screwed already? My car's not under warranty anymore so I wont be taking it to ford to get done.

Any ideas on where to take it in WA? I was told WA diffs do a good job on rebuilds and set them up so they don't have diff lash.

if you want to see a car with a knackered bush let me know an you can come for a ride in mine!!!

im not sure the lash problems in these cars somes from the diff, WBT56 put up a couple of threads in his mal woods forum a while ago about what the cause of the lash is..

Yeah, Ben said something about a half-shaft CV joint. All I know is Ford are putting a new diff in my car, but I'm not convinced that it will solve the problem.
