This isnt the first case I have heard of cars going missing from a workshop and in those cases, the cars were not covered by the workshops insurance, however in saying that the insurance to cover vehicles within a workshop is available, I use it within my workshop as its just not worth the hassle when you have somewhat 300k of cars sitting on a floor that you could be liable to pay for if something were to happen. On another note this screams inside job or someone who knew the workshop well.

Brian I feel sorry for your son, I would hate to have something I loved taken from me and I hope you get this all resolved.

Ive heard of it happening a few times in recent years and I think its real sus.

I think Scotty may have been referring to the summernats joint grand champion who got done for stealing cars and re birthing them to finance the build up of that Green XP falcon that won a couple of years back?

I never meant or suggested that thiefs smart enough to pull the job they did off, would be stupid enough to then take the cars to summernats.

I cannot also claim that I was reffering to what Hiddeous suggested, as I was not aware of that.

I just think that some of the parts will be used on project cars, or sold to finance project cars.

Just a hunch and nothing else.

I know a bit more about it now Brian. A car very similar in description to the Nissan that was also taken was used in a ram raid this morning and then went down parramatta road at warp speed.

Brian was this the same heist that was mentioned in todays Telegraph? Half page write up.

Yes. There was a story in todays paper in Sydney, with pictures of the 5 stolen cars.

Hopefully my son will get an insurance payout next week. We don't want the car back now anyway, we have already replaced it with the F6.

The STi was used in an armed car jacking, so its probably copped some punishment.

Shame Brian, soz to you and your son.

Real tragedy, and bad for the bloke without insurance. Hope they get the bastards who did this. Seems organized crime also getting it's claws into Australia, which is such a big pity.

What a damn mess. Hope no penalties will apply from the insurance company.....

Good luck, Mate!
