What's the trick with th einlets and outlets to the supercharger.Usually a 6/71 style just has air in the top, compressed air out the bottom - and hence you would have the intercooler between the bottom of the supercharger and the top of the inlet manifold.In this case what is the air routing?←Kenne Bell & Whipple s/c's both buy cores from autorotor, the inlet to these in from the rear of the blower and usually has the t/body and intake coming from the rear of the blower & out the side. On these YT kit's it's still a rear entry but it travell's through the stock intake and plenum first then into the back of the unit, air gets compressed and blown out the bottom of the blower (Which is upsdie down here) and goes into the runner's. As you can see from the photos the blower is located under the inlet manifold. The inlet runners are located higher than the supercharger is. Nothing like the traditional 6/71's. ms700 Moderating Team 10,170 Member For: 22y 25d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 09/01/07 06:09 AM Share Posted 09/01/07 06:09 AM Myself and Robbie had a very close up look at this setup at the SummerNats, it is a very neat installation.It is horses for courses, all depends on what you want, even the Yella Terra salesman told us this.If you are after good driveability, awesome torque down low, good punch from the lights, basically a awesome street setup, the Yella Terra blower is the one for you.If, down the track, you are looking at making serious power out of your V8, and you are a bit of a dyno queen, if the max power figure on top of the sheet is what drives you, the Vortechs are definately better. The Vortechs have a better scope for future mods, and can make some serious power if you start letting them push some serious air into the boss engine.The Yella Terra blower doesnt really have any space to allow for big plans for big power in the future if you know what I mean.
