How much is it missing by?←He's an XR8 driver...probably installed it upside down Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/30703-changing-the-8-factory-sub/page/2/#findComment-479525 Share on other sites

The carpet no longer reaches the brake light on the parcel shelf.I had it installed professionally so I'll get them to look at it again when I get back. Who did it so I know where not to go?! Wasn't Braddon was it?Shouldn't be that hard to fit, a few torx bolts to undo and pull the wiring off the old speaker and put it on new one and Bob's your second cousin's Uncle's neighbour. gilfxr6t Member 90 Member For: 18y 6m 1d Posted 03/02/07 05:08 AM Share Posted 03/02/07 05:08 AM What was ford thinking of putting an 8" free air sub in a car this big its a joke. Your are never going to get great sound out of a replacement but it will be better. The biggest problem is if you upgrade the sub to much the fronts will let you down even more. If you are planning on running of the factory amp sensitivity is everything. Ask around and see if Focal do an 8" free air as they have always led the pack in that area.
