The Ford website has been changed and updated with the BFII but there are no XR's on the website. They were there 2 days ago when I last looked. What genius decied to leave the sports performance cars off. I think more ppl look for the XR's than the XT's.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that the BFII XR's dont get the new front end. The base XT and other models do. I spose it would look stupid that there sports cars dont get the new designed European look. After all whats the difference between BFI and BFII XR's? well its nothing to do with the shape, or wheels or engine or transmission, all BFII gets is a grey background dash and of course the MKII badge.

Ford have outdone themselves. I got a BFI and I may as well stick a MKII badge on it. Its not as if anyone wil notice.

My winge for this month.

Oh - the BF2 is a truly beautiful thing.... LOL. I bought one because of the hugely refreshed um er gosh um ah.... let me think........ different colour.

1/ The ford site - yep, the T is gone from the highlights area, but it's still there - buried deep under about 5 menu levels... go figure.

2/ Have had my BF2 for about 6 weeks, and received an automated mail today from Ford telling me about wonderful deals on the new BF2. (I might buy another one) (novel that they don't marry up databases for purchasers and email recipients on the automated system.... shows how much I'm worth as a customer)

3/ Now the novel bit - even though no-one from the dealership has let me know yet, apparently the BF2 comes with free scheduled servicing - as per the Ford email - up to and including the 60,000K service. Wow - nice deal. Glad they sent me the mail to let me know.... as I've now forwarded it to the dealer for confirmation. I'll bet they'll be thrilled.

:w00t2:

"There’s another common thread to our range. For any new or demonstrator BF Falcon MkII purchased before 31, January 2007, we’re offering 3 years/60,000km free Scheduled Servicing plus a 2 year/100,000km Extended New Vehicle Warranty.

Redemption code 2066021. "

More soon..... I'm considering the ramifications of the Ford Servicing thing again..... eek.

Ford will only ever touch mine for warranty work and then my mechanic will inspect everything they do to it.

And a good mechanic we have hey. Im very happy with their efforts on servicing my car last week.

Ive had 10 years of great honest work at a good price everytime and never once been unhappy about anything theyve done to my cars. Will always reccomend them to everybody as I did to you.

A very good policy to have. Why pay through the nose to get an apprentice to practice on your car, when you can go to someone you know and trust for half the money.

I have even gone one step further, getting my mechanic to identify what needs to be fixed under warranty. It means less stuffing around with the Ford monkeys trying to avoid... er... I mean find the problem to fix.
