All of the "FourRunner" crew had a great day - even the youngest one who slept all the way from Oberon to Jenolan Caves to Oberon again and back to the Great Western Highway. Even the cursing at the Tarago driver didn't wake him.

Cheers to DBOSS for the lap round the mountain. It was definitely the highlight for Nathan and me too. :msm:

The sound of Brian's car is something else and to see it walk away from a stocker that was pegged is very impressive.

Thanks to Cro and the other organisers for a job well done.

The double bike accident was a very sobering finish to the day - just hope the riders are OK.

Picture from the crash scene:

I would say that at least one died as there was a lot of investigation going on.

There were also 2 destroyed bikes I saw, but no cars.

Fatal Motorcycle Crash – M4 Motorway

18 December 2006

Police are investigating a motorcycle crash which has left a man dead in Sydney’s west yesterday.

Shortly after 2.30pm, a 49-year-old man was riding his motorbike east along the M4 motorway, near Lapstone Hill. As he approached the Emu Plains off-ramp, his motorbike clipped another motorcycle which was also travelling east.

The 49-year-old man’s motorbike left the roadway and became airborne before coming to rest some distance away. The Glenbrook man died at the scene.

The male rider of the second motorbike was taken to Nepean Hospital with suspected fractures where he remains in a stable condition.

Both motorbikes have been seized for mechanical examination.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact Penrith Police Station on 4721 9444 or the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit on 8835 7300.

Apc dave left after lunch and got stuck half way down the hill and did not move an inch for an hour cause of the bike crash he got home about 45 mins before I got home and I'm 10 mins further away than him.

The word is that one of the riders had a heart attack of some sort and crashed into the other rider at speed. If any of you noticed near to the crashed bike, there was a damaged sign, with the damage being 3 metres above ground. One of the riders was launched up the grass embankment into that sign and the rest you can work out. The other rider survived with minor injuries.
