how did the model turbine jet go? :spoton:

Well his FA/18 ( or similar ?? ) was only a shell. He hadn't lashed out the $8k for the turbine/s..

The F15 that was there was honking. over 200kph with a single turbine, had 2 outlets, but only one turbine..

$25k on a model F15 jet is a bit rich though..

I just have an Electric heli.. You think steering a manual ute is hard, that thing does my head in!!!

His mates GTR skyline runs 11.30's because he’s a bit quicker than his mates rx7 that runs 11.60’s

His mates rx7 skyline runs 11.90's because he’s a bit quicker than his mates rex that runs 12.20’s

His mates rex runs 12.20's because he’s a bit quicker than his mates hsv that runs 12.60’s

His mates hsv runs 12.60's because he’s a bit quicker than his mates modified GT that runs 13.00’s

His mates GT runs 13.00's because he’s a bit quicker than his mates 200sx that runs 13.40’s

…. They’re all good mates and all happy with how fast they really are!

If you can fly inverted nose in :biggrin: , the ute is a piece of cake. I fly a .30 size Raptor. :msm:

Back on topic, sorry to hear you lost the record. It must've been extremely disheartening. :spoton:

Well, it had to happen..

I was out at the Whiteman Park model aircraft show yesterday with the Bro-in-Law.

We were watching the turbine jets and helis', ( :msm: ) when a Bionic XR6T ute with a front mount caught my eye.

The guy was pulling a model turbine jet out of the back, so we investigated. Bro-in-Law asked about the jet, I asked about the ute.  :biggrin:

I spotted quads out the back..

I asked him what he had done to it "Sh!te loads" he said. mmmm I thought..

"Runs low 11's " he continued.... DAMMIT, me thinks....

I asked who tuned it, well, turns out he has the dealer software, and does it himself.

"Clutch slips when it gets warm though" DAMMIT x2, a manual.. arrgh..  " But I'm getting a 9 puk clutch coming.." " And I have to do the valve springs "

" And I'm only running a CAT back exhaust "

Well, I'm putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with b*llsh*t so, I push for some more info..

I said he should jump on the forums and upload his timeslip, as I was the unofficial record holder for manual @ 11.8 and he would blow us out of the water..

So, he's run a time, without ever going to the strip................ Maybe that's where I went wrong??

Can u ask him if he would tune my car ,with my mods cant see a problem running LOW 9s& that on the SP 9000.How in the hell did hold back & not give him a mouth full.HIS A wa*ker.CHEERS BB :msm:

Nah, I didn't opt for the 3D, just getting it off the ground for longer than 30 seconds is my goal.. After that, I might progress to a little T-Rex 450 or something similar.. I only have 1hr of fly time under my belt, but I already have crashing down pat!!!

FYI, it's a little Night Ranger II :msm: cheap to fix :spoton: but it's a bit quick on the cyclic for a complete novice, but meh, I like a challenge :w00t2:

Bro-in-Law just called me an hr ago, he just did his first few barrel rolls.

He flys a Raptor .50
