Bit of a dumb question, did you have the car really clean and did you use plenty of quick detailer spray?

Washed it then Clay barred it and as I said used 3/4 of the bottle of detailer.

I gotta ask the question....do you think maybe the scratches where in the paint before you claybar'd the car and the megauirs product didn't just strip the old polish off showing the prior damage?....that was the case with my car until i re waxed the car.

I used one today but it wasnt Meguires. The one I used was from a mate Mr Roundabout (rapid will know what im talking about) and it worked a treat.

I did whilst washing the car. Washed with sponge and left the suds on then used the clay bar. Came up really good. Came up better with Polish.. Now I just gotta wax it......... Tomorrow Should look :spit:

Ps there will be pics :spoton:

Only use fresh clay bar. Clay bar that has gone slightly hard on the outside is no good. It will damage paintwork but clay bar that is fresh and soft will do its intended job. But after using it you will still need to some sort of polish. I use 3M glazing compound with a orbital buffer.

Dont worry too much about it, it should all buff out well.

If you have to leave it a day before you polish it, i'd definatly wash the car again befoe you polish it. Otherwise you may wind up polishing surface debris back into the paint. :spit:
