Oh, and could keep on bowling... What WAS McGrath doing when we were doing it tough? That's right, reducing the fastest bowler in the world to a stock bowler! The selectors are stupid if they're even considering dropping one of the bowlers for Macgill. They NEED to have 5 bowlers over there, it's too bloody hot other wise and they'll all do a McGrath. Out with Martyn and/or Clarke instead.Lumpy

You might find they will rest Lee for the next test.

You need to be able to spell your pacemen, keep them fresh but still have pace from both ends. At the moment we can't do that. It's where Watson is a better proposition than M.Clarke in my eyes. He bowls with a decent amount of speed (get's good rise off a length too) and he can swing a bat. I don't know why we need to bat so far down the order. If Langer/Hayden/Ponting/Hussey and Gilchrist can't all pitch in and make a score then I think a seventh batter won't solve any issues!Lumpy

I stand corrected on one thing. Micheal Clarke stood up and well and truly got counted! Looked a bit patchy in the second innings but it was a nervous time. Hussey and Ponting as imperious as ever.Warne. The greatest. Nothing more needs to be said.Look at how accurate Clark bowled and how much control he used. As for Lee, he had Swing, both ways, at speed with the old ball. It was only luck (or the lack of it) that kept those great yorkers out.The great McGrath though? GET RID OF HIM. How he can stay in the team is beyond me. He bowled like an old maid and act's like one too. He is past his time. What an amazing win. Highest Individual Score at Adelaide by an Englishmen. Highest Score at Adelaide by the English. Most Wicket's Ever taken in an Innings at Adelaide and the pom's STILL lost. Now that game is what TEST cricket is all about.Lumpy

Watson is still recovering from his strained hammy... Brad Hodge is out injuried... So you have the experienced Symonds... or the man who's been bashing on the door for a couple of years in Phil Jacques...Hmmm... decisions, decisions... we love our cricket! Who replaces Martyn is an interesting one though, can't really see Symonds being suited to test cricket and I don't know a hell of a lot about Voges but I wouldn't think he would cut it on the test stage from the little bits I have seen of him in state cricket. Watson's the obvious choice but he's out, perhaps they could bring in another bowler either Magill or Johnson? Or how about this one Lumpy, is there any reason Jaques couldn't bat down the order? That guy can field, and can be a handy bowler. Add to that if his confidence is up, he is a btter batsman than Dean Jones, and I loved Dean Jones.I hope they pick him and give him a chance, then it is up to him to prove himself. Scotty←He is an amazing fielder and a handy bowler, if he sticks to his medium swing (not those donkey drop off breaks). If he takes a couple of wickets and gets his confidence up, you're right. He is a stunning batsmen! How awesome was Jonesy? He was my hero when I was a kid!Lumpy
