Shane Warne is older than McGrath at 37 (McGrath 36) yet he is included in your team??  :bum:

McGrath is still a great bowler and silenced his critics in India. It's his constant ability to land the ball in the same sweet spot ball after ball that makes him so damn good. He rarely strays off the line and wears the batsman down with his acuracy.

Warne is older, but spin bowling is no where near as demanding (overall) on the body as medium pace like McGrath. Warne is the greatest spin bowler ever perhaps one of the greatest bowlers. McGrath? He's a decent medium pacer, but in context nothing more than a change bowler.

Silenced his critics in India? When? When Johnson wasn't playing? When he was bowling to tail enders? Tendulkar played like an wet rag to be honest. Bracken took as many wickets at a similar average but they were IMPORTANT wickets. Be very interesting to see McGrath and Clark back to back.

Sure, he keeps bowling a similar line and length. Which is great, until a decent batsman like Vaughn works out that's all he EVER does. Step, Step down the wicket and 177 runs later.

Cricket, OK to play, but to watch it's :tease:  :bum:  :bum:  :sleepystuff:

I was watching once and thought I saw the grass grow during and over.  Not much else happened.

It was pretty good watching from a box yesterday - sucking on beers and eating prawns. We were just above the Fanatics and the Balmy Army just to the left - plenty going on.

Punter's a legend!

Warney's spinning finger and shoulder may disagree with you there Lumpy. :tease:

As far as Pigeon is concerned, all I have to do is think back to last year at Lords. That first afternoon when McGrath demolished the English top order by taking the first five wickets. Perfect demonstration of world-class bowling!  :tease:

But that's all he did, when he came back for the last few tests he was ineffectual, it was a shame to see dizzy play beyond his time. Why they never brought Bracken in I'll never know.

It was horrible to see one of the best genuine fast bowlers of our day reduced to a stock bowler, because none of the others had the guts to last it out.

This three paceman and a spinner attack is suicide.

Well, assuming he's fit I meant. Day by day.

Greg Matthew's unchanged bowled all day in India, 35 degrees, 80% humidity, in a bloody sweater! It wouldbe impossible for any paceman to do that!
