seriously get your auto checked... its most probably slipping... you did mention that you left black lines all over the place after tune etc... its very possible that your box has had it....

your peak boost is 13.5 so deinately not too high... afr's are equivalent to what others are running by other tuners....

check turbo manifolds bolts and tighten while your down there. Its most probably an underlying mechanical issue which on occasion can be absolute biatch to find :roflmbo:

So your tune went well for a bit and now feels 'slower'?

Tunes change! Not the tune in the box, but the tune in your ECU can.

I'll give you a perfect example... Mine.

My ute has a habit of removing timing from the tune. My tune DOES NOT ping but the knock sensor is detecting what it thinks is pinging. This can be a number of things, in my case I think it's the mechanical noise that the SMB dump pipe is making by rubbing hard against the heat shields.

Now I saw my ute tuned to 311rwkw's at which point the stock fuel pump was out of flow, and the tune was spot on. At this point all of the knock control and self learning features were turned on and the next dyno run made 288rwkw's, so you can see that the stock ECU will change things. In my limited experience I've seen some cars do this more than others and a lower rwkw figure is less likely to produce this issue, for example my old 260rwkw tune was fine with only small variations between dyno runs.

Now how do we know that it is timing?

Because my tuner (Nizpro) have a OBDII dyno so it can log the data from the ECU and display it along with the dyno run.

There are also other reasons why this can happen which Simon has explained to me, but for most of them I just nod my head and pretend I understand.

Issues like these is where it's a must that your tuner be easily accessable as Paul from Elite said. Because it's hard to track issues if you are dyno hopping all over the state.

Well said... but all cars detonate, its just the threshold is set higher and lower on different engin magagment systems.

Example, Power FC set there threshold at 60db ( this is also user adjustable )which is toatally inaudible to the human ear as is deemed ok, I have no idea what ours is set to but its likely to be alot lower due to it sensitivity.

Anyone here used a " knockbox"?

The agressiveness of my knock control has been adjusted in an effort to decrease the amount of timing the ECU can remove but the end result so far has been the same.

I know Nizpro have used a knock box. I'll see if I can dig up the thread.

I think you might be on to something adam and I think that what my problem

could be a timing issue becuase of the knock sensor and the tune on the boxs is fine. :spoton:

It's easy enough to diagnose with the right equipment. Fixing the problem is another thing all together.
