(this has happend 5 times in the last 2 months)Second is, also some morning's when I start the car it will idle at 1000 rpm and the car feels like it going to take off by its self. It's a bitch trying to get out of my drive way because it just wonts to take off even with my foot on the brake( lightly). But after a bit it drops down to about 600 rpm, it is really starting to trip me out, apart from that the car drives fine. Both problems are only accuring on starting the car.I have a XEDE piggyback and im wondering if that's apart of the problem?Oh yeah and it stall's every now and then aswell.(not that often but it has happend)Would a EDIT fix this problem?I went to ford and they said no fault has been registered, which is bull crap Any help idea's would be appreciated.Cheers Michael

It'll gwt up to around 1200rpm.. When you initialy start your car you will also see the instant litres per hour hover around 5.1 +-. I generally start to drive my T when it goea down to about 3 litres per hour. This change also will allow enough time for your revs to drop to around 800 - 900 rpmIn other words.. Let your car warm up before you start to drive itRob

Posted 21/11/06 07:52 PM Share Posted 21/11/06 07:52 PM This is the throttle body I have been running rdp system for 2 years and it has not caused any idle issues to do with the throttle body.If you really knew how they were set up you would know the rdp and any other piggy back computor does not have any control of the throttle body.IanPS I might add that this also happens with edited cars. Strangely enough, it seems very much to coincide with whether my car is warm(ish) or cold. If I start the car and I'm in a hurry to get away and I put it into reverse while it's still idling quite high, I will quite often have the TPS light come on and have those idling issues (resolved, as you said, by restarting the car). But if I let it warm up for a while and the revs drop, then I rarely have TPS issues. Go figure.
