It got up to $1.50 a litre at one stage, so it wouldn't be my fuel of choice if my car was a daily hack.
Guest Guests Posted 24/11/06 01:48 AM Share Posted 24/11/06 01:48 AM According to Shell, V Power Racing is a new blend, not the same as Optimax Extreme.← V Power Racing is a 100RON Blend with 5% Ethanol as was 'Optimax Extreme'V Power is a 98RON Blend with new friction modifiers to replace 'Optimax'Refer to below linkVPOWER D. Went back to Mobil after 2 tanks and surprise surprise... black sh*te gone.....Had a chat to Shell customer service about the black sh*te and their response was "what black sh*te". As far as they are concerned, their fuel does not generate soot.

Guest Guests Posted 24/11/06 02:23 AM Share Posted 24/11/06 02:23 AM I think personally, that any Fuel with an Ethanol Blend, be it VPOWER Racing, OPTIMAX EXTREME, and even to a degree, the Boost98 10% Ethanol Blend from United, all leave 'soot'But when talking about straight Petroleum, regarding the 98RON fuels, like the new VPOWER (not VPOWER Racing) and old Optimax are relatively soot free.D

You can certainly feel the difference. Edited 24/11/06 04:05 AM by Blonk

Any biochemist will tell you that but the oil companies sure wont.Is it just me but has the price difference of premuim fuels and regular unleaded gotton somewhat bigger of late??
