I've got a BF dump and a spare BA cat that im gonna 'modify', and add flanges and the rest... What do you guys think about this setup? Is it gonna be hard to attach the BA cat onto the BF dump?

IH8TOADS, do you know whats involved in fitting the BF dump on a BA? Just bolt on??

Bolt on as far as I am aware. Putting a BA cat on a BF dump is a waste of time...too much work. If you're going to punch it, do it to the BA cat/downpipe.

I might invest in a better cat than.... So judging by what you've said there is not much difference in getting a 3" cat when putting on a BF dump correct?

yep, the main reason for going to a bf dump is the ease of attaching an aftermarket cat to it.

if your gonna gut a cat anyway the ba dump will work fine. geea was running 350+ with the ba dump

I only got the BF dump cause its cheap, and it flows a lil better than the BA.. After the bf dump and modded cat go in I dont really wanna touch the exhaust, maybe hot dogs for sound.. Was just after the best flow for littlest $$

If the BF dump and BA cat are a pain, than the exhaust man can deal with it, afterall its my money LOL

could be a bit easier and cheaper to source a bf cat and go to town on that, it should bolt straight to your bf dump LOL..

cant see people asking too much for them when they have upgraded.

Hmmm theres another option.... I like your work..

Then if I get into any troubles from u know who... I can just unbolt the bf gear and bolt my ba gear back on...

If you are going to punch the cat then just do it to the BA one. Cut, punch and weld back and bolt it back on....this has proven to make over 330rwkw's.

You can do the same to the BF. If u need to go over the pits just bolt the other down pipe / dump/ cat section back on (I.e. the one u didnt punch).

I thought about this myself but in the end I figured it's easier spending < $400 on a Catco cat that will flow 330kw's and then graft it to the BF easily. Once on then, wont need to pi$$ fart around with the exhaust again........I'll also sleep comfortably knowing exhaust gases are far less toxic!

Ok sounds like a good idea... Now im a bit confused as to what the difference is between a punched and gutted cat are... Are they the same thing? Also what affect will this have on exhaust note?

I think I'll have the stock ba dump and 'modded' cat on for the tune.. and buy a proper cat to fit onto the bf dump later on... The more I do the longer I have to wait for the tune and its killin me.
