The turbo is modified with a bigger compressor wheel, machined compressor housing, wastegate port enlarged, bigger swing valve assembly, new bearings and VSR'ed. Dynoed the car on Friday to gauge the difference in power. The car made a maximum of 328rwkw running 15-16psi boost and 780nm of torque with the stock turbo. I'm not an advocate of running stupid amounts of boost with the stock turbo, as the excess pressure is wasted due to the rediculous compressor outlet temps. Hence the upgrade.......Power is now 347.4rwkw and 920nm of torque (will post torque graph tomorrow) at a modest 15.5psi. The initial boost flare has been fixed, car feels very strong. Turbo is noticably louder, with more induction noise. It spools up just as strong as the stock unit. That's an increase of 19rwkw and 140nm without raising boost over it's previous level.I'm going to lift the boost to 18psi from it's current level, and see what results are produced. The bigger turbo is supposed to be good for an extra 200rwhp, and is good for up to 18 psi boost. I can't tune more boost into the car with the setup I have, and have to determine what is causing this. Perhaps it's the factory blow off valve bleeding off boost, maybe the factory solenoid can't handle the flow and pressure. I might try an eboost controller to see how it goes. It's off to the drags in the next few weeks sporting MT ET Drag radials. 11.8 is what it did with 328rwkw on street tyres so it should run a low 11, hopefully. It's a fine line though running a low 11 and getting banned from the Motorplex if it manages a high 10 Edited 19/11/06 01:25 AM by M6 XR6T

From memory, Angelo's car dynoed 253rwkw stock. That's 23rwkw more than what we're seeing on Dyno Dynamic dynos. What time does their F6 run? The strip is a good lie detector, and dispells any rwkw myths. We all know that rwkw figures mean , and are easy to make/fudge.As for potential, it's the quickest F6 in WA, the third quickest on these forums, with the other 2 being in Sydney from memory. And that was before the turbo mods. Remember, I setup the car and tune it myself, without having to draw on the resources of other's in the automotive trade. I'm in the building trade by profession, not a mechanic. You won't find me on the phone to other shops every 5 minutes to figure stuff out.I'm still trying to find the stats and track backed results for their F6, like they have of their Territory.
