Good on ya Ben! :welcome2:

I'll talk to the service manager when I drop the car off next week and see if I can get it sorted once and for all.... it's driving my missus mad (her car - I got the bike).

I'll post here when I pick it up.

New diff on order...... which really scares me as the car doesn't get driven hard and and has already had the planetary gears replaced. I can only imagine the outcome if the car had been modified/edited!

Well, Ford reckon it's my diff bush.

Won't replace it under my extended warranty as it is a non-lubricated part!

Told them to stick the warranty up their ar$e and that the only reason I got it serviced there was because of the warranty.....guess wot, I'm not going back there.

Then the guy asks me if I will come back later.....ummm......NO!

Rob.

We would be happy to look at it for you, and at least confirm the problem, if this would be of any help. No charge to look, just a 100mile drive. Ben.

I can't remember who, but some dude on this forum was fed up with Ford excuses so took his diff to a specialists, they rebuilt it with different ratios and it worked perfectly eversince.

I actually wrote it down, this is it.

standard diffs should have .017" crownwheel to pinion backlash. This guy changed the ratio to 3.73 gears and set backlask to .006".
