I can only imagine the outcome if the car had been modified/edited! chooch Member 256 Member For: 21y 3m 13d Location: Adelaide Posted 06/12/06 11:25 AM Share Posted 06/12/06 11:25 AM I can't remember who, but some dude on this forum was fed up with Ford excuses so took his diff to a specialists, they rebuilt it with different ratios and it worked perfectly eversince.I actually wrote it down, this is it.standard diffs should have .017" crownwheel to pinion backlash. This guy changed the ratio to 3.73 gears and set backlask to .006".
