It was wheel spinning on the dyno Mika. You should see the rubber all over my boot! I checked the graph against the last one in km/h from Redcliffe and it was definitely spinning.

When you do a power run in 4th gear with my 18's on, it revs out to about 185-190 km/h - that is when it ran 548rwhp. I left my 20's on yesterday as I really couldn't be bothered changing them anymore however, they have to account for a fair bit of power 10-15kw's probably as they are about 5% overdriven.

Now, considering they are overdriven, you would expect the power run in 4th gear to run out to at least 200km/h wouldn't you? My dyno chart maxed at 168km/h and I know for a fact it was showing 6200rpm in the car - plenty more than 168km/h. The rubber was a giveaway also. Doesn't worry me, I know what it has - two weeks, and it will be plenty more! :spoton:

It was bloody impressive whatever way you look at it.

I know my car looses about 20hp on compared to 17,s.

Bah! All you greedy turbo owners! It's not like you need any more :nono: Should all be dynoed on 30" wheels :spoton:

Nah, looks like a good day guys. Lots of strong car's out there :msm:

Lumpy :spoton:

when it comes to these cars you have to strap them down so tight... with a car making 400 rwkw's if I havent got the straps quite there it will loose 30 rwkw's, get back out do the straps so tight you cant do them any tighter and presto, powers back, N/A cars dont like being strapped to tight allthough you cant afford to let the car come up on the front roller or it will inflate the power figure and give it more power then it really has, that's why I frown apon ppl who dont strap all cars down.

Paul,

Congratulations to You, Jo and your band of merry men.

I had an awesome day. truth be known it was the first dyno day I have ever attended so book me in for next time.

Loads of good folk and it was incredible how everyone kept their composure and remained resposible whilst driving in the surrounding public streets.

Great mix of cars.

Some Ideas for next time.

Close off street or hold across the road on main runway.

Jam me and two other fat guys in your back seat of Shane's Behemoth to try and achieve some traction.

Jumping castle.

I'm sure we could think some hairbrain scheme.

Thanks again.

Jas

just to elaborate a little more on this, I was by no means saying the guys at elite auto hadnt done a good job strapping it down, Im sure they did :spoton: They are just an apsolute bitch to strap down when they come on hard down low.

Simon, a part of the problem is still my wheels - although I have rolled the guards, I don't think it is quite enough as when you really crank it down, under power on the dyno it squats even more and still hits so we couldn't pull it down as tight as we do with the 18's on.

Next time I get big fella (Shane) and I mean farking huge LOL to sit in the back.

We went for a spin an Shane took his shoes off saying he cant drive with shoes on.

I looked at him a laughed because I cant see how he drive with size 20 feet

We all had fun and as I said to Shane. If it doesnt put a smile on our face, we might as well not do it. :tease:
