Umm no. The holders I have seen only hold the tiny gauses. that's why mine is just screwed in, for now. I would like a proper pod just thought they were all really small

The SS pod can easily be modified to suit the 2 5/8 gauge that you have. I did it myself with mine.

I think you will find that any pillar mounted pod will attract unwanted police attention.

They use some BS excuse about restricting visability, and love to defect cars, especially imports.

Funny how they think a pod will do this, yep do not seem to hassle people with huge shrines or crystals hanging from their mirrors.

And what about the fact that cop cars can be fitted with a radar speed detector in the same position, as well as those extra disco lights mounted in the centre of the dash and whatever else they have fitted to the car :hohum:

im pretty sure as long as it stays under the level of the steering wheel it is legal, had one on my old skyline and never had problems with police here in QLD

For those wondering about the legalities - here is an extract from Vicroads

That's great! It means that there would be no valid reason for any of my pod designs at the base of the A-pillar would be defected. :pinch:

However - Does that mean that the FPV gauges are defectable?

Ford can take it up in person with Vic roads in that case

Would we be able to get Sly in to confirm the legality of these pods please?

Imagine a box touching the top of the steering wheel, and the top corner touching the top of the A-pillar and going the same distance towards the centre anything obstructing your view within this field would be a defect, unless it was factory fitted ( nb- I think the pods on the centre of the dash should be outside of this box if done correctly). As for this pod it appears to be allright as it is mounted so low as to not cause an obstruction within the normal driving field or within the area I have defined that said we are all sometimes at the mercy of the highway patrol. As a word of caution this is my opinion and as such holds no weight in court. My opinion looks good and safe I'd leave it alone.
