Posted 14/11/06 09:40 PM Share Posted 14/11/06 09:40 PM Dave at Kewish has done my Auto.I'm running 255rwkw with edit only and CAI.There was nothing wrong with my box to start with and he said it was a better option to upgrade the box when it was in good condition and run a trans cooler than to wait until I knakered it.He said to me at this power level don't nail it in top, so I drive around in performance mode with the exception of highway cruising and then just slip it across to manual mode to overtake. The torque is what kills these boxes and 2/4 band cant cope when in top with out a full rebuild.the cost to me was just under $ 1,000.00 and the edit was tweaked to shift stronger.I know a couple of guys who have used Preston Automatics and they have similar results.I discussed with Dave what I wanted out of my car as far power levels and he made suggestions to what needed to be done to the box.I would think that either company would offer that service. the reason I went to Kewish is he is round the corner form work.RegardsSteve

After my original failure was repaired, this box has been back 3 times and still isnt right. that's my experience with them anyway... You need to keep in mind that R&D is still ongoing and they are always improving. Personally, I don't think they'll ever hold big power reliably.
