Did you get a chance to buy the wreck off them, if so how much im very intrested in it.

I work for NRMA (IAG).

What they will do is get a quote for the repairs and get a quote for how much the salvage is worth (from an auction house).

If the cost of a new car - salvage is less than the repair costs, they'll write it off.

If they decide not to write it off, you can request to see the quote for the repairs. You can then request a pay out for the repair costs instead of having it repaired. Sometimes this is better than driving a car you know has been in a massive accident.

Oh and don't worry. If the police got the details of the driver, he'll have to fork out... We don't stuff around when it comes to recovering costs off at fault drivers.

Normally we would recover our costs from the drivers insurer, but if he was unlicensed and uninsured, he'll have to pay himself. bwahahaha...

He got arrested on the spot!

And I bet he's already out on bail down at the pub laughing how lucky he was and will find another ride.

Next time it could be pedestrians - should have layed the smackdown on him big time.

Farking turds. You get treated worse if you speed.
