G'day 1dar3u,

Nah it's an easy process, you can even lodge a complaint with fair trading via the web. http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/icms.html

1. Open a notepad/whatever and write down as much as you can remember about phone calls, dates etc.

2. Write and send a fax to Just Cars, pointing out the frustrations you have had, and that you want the claim assessed within the next 7 days. This gives them a time limit so they can't string you out longer. Mention that you will lodge a complaint with Office of Fair Trading after that time if no action is seen. Even if they ring back and say it will be 2 weeks, still go through with the complaint after 7 days. Record further correspondance in your notepad etc.

3. Fair trading will contact you probably after a week but are pretty good at getting companies to do what's right.

4. You can always call them for advice anytime too for free! 13 32 20. Nah I don't work for 'em. :spoton:

Good luck!

Ben

that's exactly what I thought they would say, ( we want to fix it), the repairer has said we will fix it so they have booked one of their own assesors who they are friends with to asses it, he/she will have a look and adjust the quote and they will get the job which they will make 10k from.

Same happened to me I waited 2 weeks for an assessor to come out, he was busy(apparently, Waiting for their friend), he agreed on the 12k damage and said to fix it to the repairer. I then took the car out of the panel beaters and asked for the damages to be payed to me of 12k, they only wanted to pay 8k cause they think it was my partly my fault, but that didn't say it in the Police report, screw them, they payed me out 12k got my car and sold it for 7k, it was a corrolla 04, and still got more than te agreed value that was on the car.

I was like if you dont write it off I will, and I did. F@@k insurance company's there arseholes them and the panel beater.

Take your car to another panle beater you know who will write it of straight away.

My mate I sold it to said if you came to me I would of just sent a letter saying it is a write off and that would be the end.

Its all up to the Repairer.......

I was hit by a drunk driver in my au xr8.

I made the mistake of going to the biggest smash repairer in town who had all the jigs and stuff to twist the chassis back.

if I had gone to a smaller place they would have said it was a write off :spoton:

after going back plenty of times I sold the car and lost money :spoton:

Good news everybody. NRM@ have come to the party and offered me a total loss :spoton: They now are going to deliver a BFII with all the specs I had on my first T. I was going to go for octane as a new colour but decided to stick with seduce :roflmbo: I will post a pic of my new T when delivered.
