Why wouldn't THAT flag this magic code?Or maybe it would, and they'd just check their records when it came in later to say "yeah, that was us", he's ok, put the shotty away. Posted 31/07/06 04:40 AM Share Posted 31/07/06 04:40 AM Disconnecting the battery while motor is running could cause such a big voltage spike that yes the computor would be cleared totally that is take car to ford and get new because the old one has been fried.Second piont is THIS CODE CAN NOT BE CLEAR BY ANYTHING NOT EVEN FORD.Ian←Yeah, but you're warranty will still be intact!(Gee sport, it musta fell off the battery while my mother was driving it...) Street Tuner Member 727 Member For: 22y 1d Posted 31/07/06 07:05 AM Share Posted 31/07/06 07:05 AM Spent a bit of time on a current (new) BF today to see if there was any truth behind 'Anti Edit Codes'....and of course no such thing exists. Such a process would require a hardware platform upgrade to each and every individual car, which cant, and wont, be happening any time soon....If you have specific facts Goldie, they would be good to see, but because someone 'told' you doesnt really verify it as practised engineering procedure
