You will have the latest one everytime.....am I wrong?????←When the Flasher box first Reads your PCM, it stores that code version. If ford flash a newer one on, the Flasher box WILL NOT update the "stock" code in the box. That means, if ford updated your code in your PCM, and on your next service you return it back to "stock", you are infact downgrading your code back to the original one stored on the box.Ford Service centres cannot see the changes in the "tune", they can only see the catch code from the wds etc. So if they see it has gone backwards compared to whats stored in their computer records aganst your car.. that's a instant alarm bell to its been flashed.Danny. FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 23d Posted 29/07/06 10:58 AM Share Posted 29/07/06 10:58 AM There was a thread on AFF last month on this subject, it end up being removed as the thread starter asked for it to be taken off. They say the BA is safe. He said his mate is a Ford Master tech that has just done a training course, Ford now have a scanner called "ORACLE" that can be used on any suspect warranty claim to retreive any piece of information the pcm has stored since the vehicle has been manufactured, it can tell if the vehicle has been fitted with a tuner, what maximum boost level has been reached, what maximum rpm was reached etc etc:

You then need to go to your tuner and get that base could put in your box and modify it, then put t back in your car. That way Ford cant tell. At least this used to be the case, from what I am reading it is no more. Ford have stepped up to the plate and tuners are going to have to get smarter. Or people will just have to accept the fact that if you mod, Ford will know and bing dada boom no more enginge and drive train warranty.scotty
