That guy on the forum is either full of s#*t though or his boss is telling him porky pies.

Lifetime Members 306 Member For: 21y 10m 8d Gender: Male Location: Geelong Posted 18/05/03 11:08 AM Share Posted 18/05/03 11:08 AM twin turbo's are for Vs & opposed donks and maybe for 2 stage high rpm racers Although the idea of a twin turbo on a inline 6 might sound silly it works well if you size the turbo's right. You could get the same outright power as the current XR6T with boost coming in earlier than the current single. The twin turbo's would be smaller and lighter so quicker to spin up to make boost, although you need the air flow to do it. the 4litre engine has the air flow to do it. If you have doubts that twin turbos being able to work. have a look at a Nissan skyline GTR and Toyota Supra. both these are twins and the nissan is a 2.5litre straight 6 and the toyota is a 3.0 litre. when chasing huge power they change to a massive single turbo but till then the twins work well.I don't think we will be looking at making the T a twin as we have spendt heaps developing a single. there is no way they will now change it after one model run. now way known!
