Posted 18/03/09 09:10 AM Share Posted 18/03/09 09:10 AM wow Im surprised at how people have said the ultimates arent dusty. They are possibly the dustiest pads I have ever used. Good bite and stopping power even on a standard rotor. On slotted rotors I would imagine they be even more dustier. I suppose a soft compound pad like the ulitmates means they are actually stopping the car effectively though Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/29850-brake-pads-101/page/7/#findComment-844499 Share on other sites

I use ProjectMU's for the track, loads better but need warming up. I've just bought some General CTs (actually the renamed premium pads from supercheap) and haven't fitted them yet. Current mystery police pads dust up crazily and squeal like cops so I'm hoping both problems go away :S Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/29850-brake-pads-101/page/7/#findComment-844742 Share on other sites

Used that twice now. learnt not to use the green side on the rims though :/The squealing did go for about 3 days after I'd done a defensive driving course and locked it up like ten times, but I don't really want to be seen doing that on the roads! I try not to baby it too much stopping but I have to balance that with not looking like a hoon and scaring the nice old ladies Guess each person just has to find their combo that works and stick with it, probably has a lot to do with driving style?
