I know its brake debarcle 391 but I went 4 pages back and read through a few posts and still didnt get a clear answer..

Whats a good pad to run with the stock size brakes?

ive upgraded to DBA slotted all round but the front pads(stock) just fade REALLY quick after a high speed squirt and a hard push on the stoppers.

Im after something that doesnt need a great deal of heat to get working, yet sumthing that's great for everyday street driving with NO squeel but with hard bite on application with bugger all fade, something that doesnt need repetitive braking to get working to their best!

a few site favs seem to be:

Bendix Ultimates

Ferodo letters and numbers bla bla

and the EBC red/greens.

what ebc pad would be more suited to my use of the 2 EBC's, isnt the RED a more track day suited pad of repeatable braking?

any more comments or pads to list go for it! :spoton:

Go the Greens Stuff Green pad! I have them & find them to be a very good pad.

Believe the Ultimates are to hard on the discs.

Just my 2c.

Ive used Ferodo DS2500 pads in my phoon and V8 Capri and they have proven excellent for road AND track work, showing no rotor wear in the Capri at all..

I agree, Ferodo DS2500 for the front and maybe DS2000 for the rear, if it's a road only car, or DS2500 all round if you do a bit of track work.

I can't find a single brake specialist who has anything good to say about greenstuff.

Another good pad I'm hearing about is a Hawk pad. Call race brakes in sydney as they are replacing the standard factory pad used on the 4 spot brembos with the hawk and it's much much cheaper.

Reds are the race pad. they take longer to heat up and where out quicker than the greens. Im using greens and have no complaints... :pinch:

What are they like for brake dust?

I use PBR supplied pads, and they dust up the rims real fast
