Day or night it makes no difference if the head lights are on.If the engine is running the light around the starter button is off. Off through the day when running....It has an automatic warmer for cold fingers in winter, and plays Mp4's through any cell phone in the car even if its switched off... Can eject people from boots, and is locked to my fingerprint only... Has been known to bite a postman and was once caught climbing the harbour bridge drunk....Hope that helps......
