hey all, I had a great weekend and after pampering my beast with its ritual weekend wash it rewarded me with this!

that's a hole in the block, just under the turbo.

and that's a crack in the sump, I havent dug any deeper than that and I dont think im willing to.

just wondering where to from here?

who to see what to do?

im in 2 minds at the moment

1. fix it up quick trade it in

2. build a crazy motor with at least 400rwkw. and ~1200nm torque

dunno as much as I love the car I just dont think it loves me.. or my wallet

in the words of Napoleon Dynamite "GOD " What would you do in a situation like this!"

I would purchase a new BF Bottom end that has F6 rods in it stock for 2500.00 and fit it and be in your way.

That looks nasty

Is that a special trade price or anything?

not as far as I know? I just got the prices when I was doing some investigation into the new engines having F6 rods...

I have seen this before if the sump is cracked the windage tray inside would be stuffed also possibly the crank.

So you will need more than just the bottom end but depending on what you want either the f6 bottom end but it has it's limits too or a full billet and forged piston bottom end if you want to go cazy would be the way to go.

Sorry to hear but this what I have been saying for awhile that it will happen no matter what power you have.
