Check the APS dyno chart their std F6 had 550nm at the wheels if I'm reading it right! In a drag the F6 is not really faster than an XR6T - at lest there is only a bees dick in it. I went on a cruise last weekend with a few of the QLD boys and the std F6 was level pegging through to 180kmph with the std XR6T's. Its was a 36 deg C day but we all had to contend with that, so its just a fact it aint as quick as it 'should' be. All done on private closed roads of course When your cruising and use the close ratio box and engine the way its supposed to be - that is in the torque sweet spot - the car is very very quick and effortlessly covers big distances at very high speed. Its screwed to the road like few other cars I've driven and with Brembo's its a real blast The XR6T is imho one of the 5 best cars FMC have released, anywhere, ever! As a package its just 'special' in so many ways - brakes excluded! Now, having said all this I would never go back to my old XR6T from the F6. Sure the F6 cost -loads more, but the thing is a weapon, and even more so when you know how to drive it. Std the F6 is not a drag car but where it counts, on the road, it will smoke 95% of the rest point to point but only when you know how to drive it.The only 'problem' with the std F6 is it runs out of top end. This is a sypmtom of FPV being a bunch of pussies and too scared to put a decent fuel system into it. Apparently FPV are afraid to build a car to its potential - wtf would you put the same fuel system into an F6 as that in a XR6T and whats all this torque limiting crap in the GT/F6 The F6 is a great car, Doc's issues with 0013 aside, but its just a pitty FPV choked at the very point of making this a world beater. A chip, injectors and zorst and you have a car that WILL smoke 99% of everything else on the road. I accept we should not have to spend more coin on them, but the rewards are there for those willing and from the phase 2 APS results that extra coin gets you a hell of a lot of car. FPV should hang their heads in shame having missed this and many many other opportunities to stick it to the General. Greg Norman had/has a reputation as a choker but he has nothing on FPV imho. Thanks for listening, I'm going for a cruise in the F6 and all this crap will disappear as a smile a mile wide appears on my dial. Torque gentlemen, torque....Rant over:<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Nicely put. I can wait to drive one. One question for you though, How much does the F6 weigh? According to the spec sheep on the FPV web site the F6 sedan weighs 1776Kg, but I suspect that's without fluids - water, peterol etc. I'd be guessing on the road with driver its well over 1800kg. Though it don't drive like a 2t car!!When you get a chance to drive one keep in mind the torque curve and you will love the pull the motor has. Merry ChristmasCheersCraig

I reckon his dealer may get a phone call today with some questions to be answered! how can you possibly think he would be pissed at being flogged by a modded XR6T??? where does that notion come from. I'm not going to buy a Tornado because it's a bitumen tearing animal.. If I want a weapon, I'll buy an evo.Don't take things too seriously XRT UTE. It was said in the fun way it was intended. I am completely stock! Well I look stock, apart from being lowered.Mate he was the one pushing me to run him, I just ignored him, then by the 4th set of lights I was sick of his reving the engine tailgating me, so I put him back in his place, simple. After that he left me alone. I hardly ever run anyone, I save that for the track, but very rarely some people need putting in their place.I am not knocking the car, I think they look fantstic, very tough, all it needed was lowering and it would have been perfect

Check the APS dyno chart their std F6 had 550nm at the wheels if I'm reading it right!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>It will have a hell of a lot more than that mate, torque at the wheels isn't the same as power. Power drops to the wheels, torque increases, because of the gear reductions. Lower the ratio the more torque at the wheels and the faster you can accelerate.Just a quicky - in forth gear in the Typhoon, if the motor is making 550nm, then in forth 1:1 the torque at the wheels is going to be 1.56 times greater because of the 3.73 diff and running on 18" rims with 245/45 rubber. So a Phoon should have 861nm at the wheels, which is 'only' 86kg at one meter turning 90 degrees in the durection of rotation.Think that's scary...1st gear torque at the wheels if the motor makes 550nm.2.66:1 x 3.73:1 / 2.21(rolling diameter ratio of tyre - increases ratio) x 550 = 2469nm at the wheels. that's 250kg at 1m turning 90 degrees. Yes a 1/4 of a metric tonne ripping those babies around! Not bad, its a tricky one to get your head around, its called tractive effort!

However the driving experience of the F6 is pleasurable, but being a V8 man I do prefer the GT.Now Doc, your comment re: another drive along the scarp???..........WHEN!!!!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Mate I don't think its ever gonna happen. After clocking up 2000 kliks and without going into another emotional rant. I have all the passion for this OVER RATED POS that I would have for a 1982 Expensive Daewoo Camira if that was parked in my driveway (at least they got car of the year). THE MOST DISAPPOINTING VEHICLE PURCHASE OF MY LIFE and the sooner its gone as far away from me and my driveway the better FPV Mild Dust Storm would have been a better name
