After clocking up 2000 kliks and without going into another emotional rant. I have all the passion for this OVER RATED POS that I would have for a 1982 Expensive Daewoo Camira if that was parked in my driveway (at least they got car of the year). THE MOST DISAPPOINTING VEHICLE PURCHASE OF MY LIFE and the sooner its gone as far away from me and my driveway the better FPV Mild Dust Storm would have been a better name Crap Doc, apart from the gearbox issue, what else has made you turn on the Phoon? Never thought I'd say it but I'm going to try something of a Japanese or European vintage this time The Typhoon is no more than an over-rated xr6 T IMHO, and I think FPV should have stayed away from it or built a car that lived up to expectations. It is good to see that most of the new Typhoon owners are happy but mine gives me all the thrills of driving an XT sedan. I think the GT will continue to reign supreme in their stable. Geeseman, I just don't like the thing, over rated and under powered for what it was supposed to be or could have been

They are selling a car which they hope, for business sake, will make it through warranty without issues. Given that, the car can't be too much more powerful than the Xr6T without further $ in mods as they need to account for worst case scenarious of driving abuse etc.Having said that, it should be a great platform for modding for someone who looks after their car. As it has a bigger IC and beefier rods, 300rwkw should be good to go with an aps system or similar. There are days when I wish the auto had more gears and was a manual. To be honest through, if I had the $ I would get a 6 speed GTP in addition to my current car. GT is a beast for sure.Anyway, all the best with what you do in the future

I remember myself and others taking you to task on this...However, I now found it amazing you have completely changed your opinion ....I have always maintained the GT 6 speed was a faster and better car to drive than the phoon....but I wouldn't go to the other extreme and say the phoon is no better than an XT sedan...What has changed your opinion so dramatically...also don't take this too personally but I would be taking what you say in the future with a grain of salt....At least we agree the GT reigns supreme... Can you clarify?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi Rob, mate you know sometimes you just get a pig, well after 2000 kliks behind the wheel I have come to the conclusion that No 13 is just that. Lost a lot of power from 2 - 3500 rpm, doors don't close properly and rattle, paint blemishes, rattley trim, crook wheel balance or driveshaft, bouncy bouncy at high speed even with the Pedders, big scratch in rear RH rim that the dealer has gone into complete denial over, never got a proper PD. I could go on but I won't. The one thing I will give it is the mid range acceleration and I'm sure that there will be many fine examples of this car turn up on the roads and with a re-flash or a unichip and injectors they will be an awesome bit of gear. I just have an overall disappointment in this particular car that has tainted me against it. Back to the future with a Mk 2 GT for me from a different dealer. I even got offered a cheap reflash etc etc, but with this Typhoon it is too Ho Hum for me to even bother
