Why didn't you get your flywheel machined!!!!

Your supposed to everytime as your flywheel over time will develop in consitancies in the its running surface, and needs to be remachined to bring it back to its original spec and be re-installed like with a smooth running surface like when new

I'd hate to think what else you didn't do when you fitted your clutch, did you clean out your bell housing and properly align every also?

Uh oh!!!

These clutches are ment to shudder a little on take off, although xtreme say they dont, I have ran them in 2 other cars and they shudder. Now a way around all that is to treat it like a proper button clutch and do the sharp throttle action and let the clutch out quicker. Ride the clutch to avoid the shudder and you will wear it out. If your getting other shudder than what I have listed above, there is something wrong then. :ermm:

But then again I dont know sh*t about clutches according to some :fool:

When I drove youngy's car the clutch shuddered bad as I was a kook and not used to it. Youngy on the other hand had it wired and it never shuddered.

Here read this.

Did you tell the Gronks at FORD that the flywheel hadn't machined?

Have read of these attachments. Little bit of handy trouble shooting advice

(thanks for writing that for me Fat-tony, very handy!)

My clutch shudders too mate, and Mal Woods said it shouldn't... I re-bled it and it helped heaps  :spoton:  still has a slight shudder, but most of the time its only minor, occasionally I get a massive one where it feels like the diff is gonna drop to the ground  :pinch:

Mine is a massive shudder all the time, not just occasionally. I might re bleed it if Ford say they can't do anything.

Cheers for the help mate

By the way, I can't get any photos of my mags to upload. Any helpful ideas? :spit:

my shudder is all dependant on how I take off.. sometimes its barely there, other times the whole car vibrates like its having an exorcism. I usually gotta get the revs up a little and try and get a smooth take off. It doesn't like to be popped out too quickly!

I have just had a brand new twin plate ceramic clutch fitted to my ute which shudders pretty bad. I can vary the severity of the shudder by modifying how I take off but cant get rid of it completely.

I am wondering if bleeding the clutch has helped those who have had these issues.

Any other ideas on how to prevent or lessen this would be hewlpful guys. It cant stay like it is. I cant live with it. It is no longer a joy to drive, more like a chore!
