So far I'm down to a choice of three different tyres and I wonder if anyone has had experience with these tyres.Option (1) Dunlop Sport Maxx 245/35/19 $380Option (2) Toyo Proxes TR1 245/35/19 $395Option (3) Goodyear F1 GD03 245/35/19 $420I'm looking for a good all rounder for a reasonable price, good grip (wet and dry), long life, quiet and doesn't wear on the outside shoulder. These seem to be the pick of the bunch from what I can tell but I need real life experiences to help me choose.Any suggestions or comments welcome.CheersBig AL
Guest Guests Posted 26/10/06 03:07 PM Share Posted 26/10/06 03:07 PM I've just had two Dunlop Sport Maxx's put on the front of mine and they are a huge inprovement on what I had - Hankook K104's. They grip really well in the dry and seem to be good in the wet aswell (Haven't had much rain since I got them).I've also heard alot of good things about the Toyo Proxes aswell but haven't had first hand experience with them.Either way, I don't think you'll be dissapointed in terms of bang for buck! Ranged from that to $

Awesome tyre - although it isn't on your list.............Didn't the Dunlop Sportmaxx win the tyre test in Motor mag not long ago??
seventytwo Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel. Came 3rd in the Motor tyre test and 80 bucks cheaper than the Sports maxx. Edited 26/10/06 11:07 PM by seventytwo

The P Zeros have never come close in any tyre test I've seen to winning, wet or dry. The Goodyear and Sport Maxx beat it in the wet, last longer and are cheaper. Pirelli IMO are overated and overpriced. Bridgestone RE050AGoodyear GS-D3Dunlop Sport MaxxYokohama Advan 103Michelin PS2 All of these are very good, but the new Bridgestone are rated #1 on the US tirerack.com website, with the others filling the next 3 places (Yokies not yet rated).
