It's a bit late now as I've ordered it, but has anyone used the carbon activated cabin air filter that ryco makes? Make any difference? Does it block the exhaust fumes like they claim?

Supposed to be the ducks guts and just replaces the pollen filter (where fitted)

Nope. I just use the pollen filter.

What's it worth?

The pollen filter I just got on my service was $35.

I got one.

No problem.

If you get one you also need to get a new .... thing to hold it in place.

I got one" the thing" from Ford for 20.00$ plus.

Got the filter from Repco, it was over 80.00$'s. You should shop around for one.

About $70 I think - haven't got it yet though so can't offer any review.

The amount of dust that accumulates sh!ts me so I thought I'd give it a go.

I bought one from Repco last week. (A Ryco unit it came with a thing!)

It seems to have cut down the dust in the cab. For $32.00 I think it's good value.

Are you sure it was / is a carbon activated filter ?

I heard about this? Where does it go? In the glovebox somewhere?

Edit: What's the part number that we're talking about?

Open the G Box, when it gets to the stop try to open it past the stop. When you look @ it you will see what I am talking about.

Nice and easy !! Don't break anything.

Slide the Cover Slide to the right and pull it out.

Ryco RCA 100C, C for carbon.

You have to get a new Cover Slide from Ford if you got the standard Mesh Filter.

If you already have the pollen filter, you can just stick the carbon filter in to replace the pollen filter, otherwise you need the tray for the pollen filter to use the carbon one.

I would recommend a pollen filter to anyone as they make ahuge difference to the air quality in the car.
